Founded in 2016, Zenhouse Studios is an independent film studio based in Houston, Texas, driven by a passion for bold, emotionally grounded storytelling. From the very beginning, our mission has been simple: push creative boundaries while delivering high-quality films that resonate on a deeply human level.
Zenhouse Studios was founded by director, writer, and producer Zach Salazar, whose vision continues to shape the studio’s distinct voice and creative direction. Over the years, Zenhouse has grown into a close-knit collaborative collective, frequently working alongside filmmakers Anthony Hernandez, Gabriel Kainer, and Jordan Rhodes, as well as a trusted network of recurring cast and crew who bring consistency, chemistry, and craftsmanship to every project.
Our body of work includes several short films such as Confession (2019), Grace (2021), Diary of a Broken Home (2023), and One Killer Night (2025), each exploring raw emotion, character-driven narratives, and meaningful themes. These projects reflect our commitment to stories that linger long after the credits roll.
In 2022, Zenhouse Studios released its debut feature film, Scream: Legacy, which has amassed over 9 million views on YouTube. The film’s success marked a major milestone for the studio and solidified our place in the independent filmmaking space. A sequel is currently in production and slated for release in December 2026.
At Zenhouse Studios, we believe storytelling is more than entertainment, it’s connection. Whether working on intimate short films or ambitious feature projects, we strive for authenticity, emotional impact, and cinematic excellence. As we continue to grow, our focus remains the same: telling powerful stories with heart, purpose, and dedication to quality.
